Hello I just received all my components today and am getting a red light on board indicating cpu problem and also code 15 on the board which I think means pre memory training, I think is normal. I just purchased the cpu a Ryzen 7800X3D from a rhymes with sex store if you know what I mean. I hope it's not dead as it cost me £320. Motherboard is Asus B650 e-e. It's my first AM5 board can anyone help?

One thing I've noticed on the board is it has 2 power connectors ATX_12V_1 and ATX_12V_2 and I've only one plugged in, is this a problem?

You could try updating the BIOS using flashback, think the 7800x3d came out later so might need updating.

As ive no idea what version bios is on the board can i go straight for the latest on asus site or do i have to do it in order? theres a few. Silly question i know.
I would go to 2412, the last one is just flipping a switch for the new APU and seen a post about CPU red light on the 2413.

I would remove everything except 1 RAM stick in the second slot(away from the CPU) and use the iGPU for display, after that I would check the CPU socket for bent pins but be very careful, then try boot again. Also make sure the RAM is in fully, DDR5 can be a bit of a ******.

Tried everything I could possibly do it won't go past the red cpu light, no display at all. It's going back to sex tomorrow I want a refund. I'll then order new from ocuk like I should have in first place. I noticed when I took it out to repaste it was very warm indeed and paste was dried out crusted. Not sure the peerless assassin 120 in using is working with it to well. Tried an AIO I have too but still nothing. I hope they don't test it and refuse my refund!

Update.. I took the cpu into the said store it was tested and confirmed dead. I was refunded. So lesson learned, I can't believe though they would send me out a dead cpu without testing it. I've seen them on Rainforest for £350 and here at ocuk so decisions to make. At least it will be brand new and chances of receiving another dud is slim. Thanks to all who tried to help.
