Hi
I have an Intel 14900k and an ASUS ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming WiFi II board.
I have tried to use Flashback to update the board bios before it's powered on.
Nothing in the board just plugged upto the 24 pin motherboard psu cable.
With the bios on a fat32 USB stick renamed the bios file using the bios renamer. The single renamed file is on the root of the usb stick (not in a folder).
Ive tried several usb sticks.
usb 2.0 usb 3.0. Small and large size.
None will work.
When I put the usb stick in the usb port labeled BIOS and power on the psu. Board lights up. I hold the button for 3 seconds. Green icon flases about 4 to 5 times then goes solid.
I've waited over 40 mins and the light doesn't go out. On research a solid green light means a failed attempt.
Can anyone help with this please?
I don't want to boot up the pc without a fixed bios for this chip considering the issues.
And I've no clue if even doing so would damage the chip if booting into bios only to flash the bios the usual way?
Thanks in advance to anyone helping.
