Hey all,

So i have a Asus Tuf Gaming X570-Plus motherboard, I'm upgrading from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 9 3900X.

Now obviously i want to make sure my bios is the very latest and up to date.

In both the bios and Speccy its reported to be on version 7010 currently.

Yet when you go to the motherboards bios section on Asus,s website there is no such thing as bios version 7010,There IS however bios version 0804 which matches the date of the supposed 7010 bios which was released on 2019/07/03.

I thought okay maybe for some bizarre reason they changed bios numbering or something, BUT in bios their automated internet update utility reports my bios is the latest.

So confused.

You definatley looking at the right board on asus site mate

So strange, that would make my bios quite outdated then, Unsure why the live automatic update in the bios says its up to date when it clearly isn't, Il try doing it manually.

I do version 7010,but on Asus website for my exact motherboard such version does not exist but the date matches an old bios version with a completely different number lol, it's hard to explain.
Yes it is confusing they don't make it easy just update to the latest non beta bios .

Well, I've just installed a 3900X cpu and it's all working fine all 12 cores /24 threads and all 16gb ram detected and running at full 3600mhz etc seems to be working good so I think Il leave it as is, seems more hassle than it's worth

Is your memory 16gb @ 3600mhz with lower timing with D.O.C.P enabled work ok? Or do u leave it all on auto without using D.O.C.P enabled? What bios version please

Memory is at 3600mhz with docp enabled, it's a true 3600mhz kit not overclocked or anything :)
Bios version is 7010 (which doesn't exist apparently :D)

My ram kit are cmk16gx4m2b3200c16 (16GB kit) these are not good ram won't boot up at 3200MHz when D.O.C.P was enabled as the bios get freeze straight away (can't change setting) can't move any mouse or keyboard. Very annoyed have to clear CMOS and removed Bios battery. I sent back bundles as it faulty board or ram or cpu.
