If anyone is thinking of taking ASUS cashback offer and hoping for a bit of a saving. Don't. It is a complete CON. they DO NOT give cash back.

i have a qualified motherboard and got email stating that I have qualified on 14th Oct and also got the online tracker saying so too.

the email recieved on 14th also states payments will be made within 30 days. 30days gone and past nothing. so tried to see if there is an email address which you can contact - there isnt.

So i emailed asus UK customer services and got the following

"Customer Service Feedback
Dear Sir/ Madam,
Thank you for contacting ASUS and raising your complaint with our complaint team.
Please reply to the email you received as we from customer support cannot see the status for this promotion.
Our apologies for the inconveniences caused to you."

then i email the email address that sent out the confirmation of the rebate and got the below:

"[email protected]
This is an automatic e-mail from a no-reply inbox.
Please note that this inbox is not monitored and your message will not be responded to."

basically it is a pie in the sky, and a complete con to lure people to buy their stuff. unless it is a good deal without the cash back, do not make your purchase decisions based on the cash-back!

Always hated these. Least with Gigabyte and think ASRock they give hardware instead .
So gigabyte only ones to have actual support via rep on here.

But speaking of reps...there is a rep on here , although GPU that should be maybe able to help @ASUS GPU Support

MSI got caught a few years ago, but that was due to using 3rd party company that processes the cashback, and held it for as long as possible, 3 months I think it was

I think Asus , it's processed after 30 days of purchase, and could be another 30 days but rep should clear up

I'm assuming you haven't just given up after those two emails?

Surely get in contact with the first lot again and explain the situation.
got in touch again, radio silent. tried another email address in one of the OCUK thread. got a bounce back email.

gonna do a deep dig on ASUS email addresses and email all of them and gonna try to find out who is the head of marketing and sales and complain. it is completely utterly ridicilous situation.

probably going to report this to Advertising Standard Agency as well as it is clearly false advertisment and fraud if they dont pay.

Hmm. I'll have my item by end of week and I'll get the form filled in. Hopefully it comes through. Be seriously shoddy it wasn't a one off mistake....

Good luck mate!

I'll initially give them the benefit of the doubt and suggest it's terrible organisation rather than deliberate obfuscation*. But either way it's a pain in the harris for you.

*Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. ;)

just an update. One of the asus email address (from OCUK thread) I used have emailed back and asking me contact ASUS UK which is the first email i recieved asking me to email the email address which had sent out the confirmation email which is a ghost email account. this is truly brilliant by ASUS. I think no more ASUS products from now on.

Hello,
thanks for your email.
Unfortunately, our support team can not help you with this promotion. Please contact your local ASUS support team for further information or the corresponding support email address of this promotion.

emailed that one as well got an automated email saying they will get back to me 3-5 days and got nothing so far since 14th nov

so far emailed 4 email accounts, 1 ghost account, 2 other email addresses asking me to email each other to resolve this. and the last one not replied yet.

also called their customer centre just now, the guy has my orignal email (the email account asked me to email the ghost account and asus promotion email address), but not really got any idea on the promotions or anything about it.

got a couple of marketing managers name from Linkedin again not sure of they are UK or not

Every time Asus runs a cashback offer this sort of thing happens.

They ran a big cashback promotion last Christmas and there's people out there who still haven't received anything, some of those that did had to fight tooth and nail just to get a response.

Asus make some nice kit but I avoid them like the plague due to their atrocious customer support.

That’s annoying, I dread making claims.

MSI seem to have got it right with their back to school cash back offer though. Processed and money in the bank within days of submitting the claim (obviously you have to wait 30 days before submitting).

When I rang the UK customer services numbers, selected motherboard option, the phone system just hangs up on me. I had to select laptop support to get through to a person. It is incredibly poor customer services.

And what did the laptop person say?
He asked me for the same information I provided in the email to the customer support. He doesn’t know anything about the promotion. He said he will look into it. But he s not based in UK, the call centre is in Bulgaria. So I am not holding my breathe.
