ASUS confirms IvyBridge compatibility for Z68/P67/H67/H61 motherboards and PCI-E3.0

Its simple I thought.

Gen3 board has the new switches so you get 8X/8X @ PCI-E3.0

The really cheap boards that don't have switches and offer 16X/4X get a full 16X @ PCi-E3.0 for the top slot and 4X PCI-E3.0 for the second slot.

The boards with the older PCI-E switches get 8X PCI-E3.0 for the top slot and remain at 8X PCI-E2.0 for the second slot.

Boards with NF200 chips etc are screwed.

I think that daughter board is just for testing/R+D
