Asus Cooler removal??

yes and no. lol

if you remove the cooler you do void there warranty yes, however there and been a cort fight in the USA about the little sickers "warranty void if removed" and from what i can make out the big companys lost.
so now in theory if the brake that sticker your warranty sould still be fully intact.

i would like to get OcUK's input on this subject @Damo @Bailey

Hey there people

If you are removing the cooler make sure there are no broken warranty void stickers that you need to break. If you do Asus are very strict on RMA so be very careful.

If there are none as long as you can put it back together so you cant tell its been removed thats all good. Make sure you dont round off any screws, apply too much paste so its on the PCB and most importantly dont damage it.

I hope this helps

Bailey

Use some long, thin pliers to undo the stickered screws ;)

But I've sent back a card for RMA with the stickers removed before. I just said there was never any on there and they couldn't prove otherwise :D

But yea, it's stupid how they will try and void the warranty for it especially when their OEM coolers are crap. When you buy a CPU your expected to fit the cooler yourself, so why it is an issue with GPUs?

Some sharp pointy ones always can come useful, on eg model crafting ;)
