ASUS Crosshair HERO VII Wifi issue

Hi all. I am in a bit of a bind with my motherboard. The wifi network is extremely slow. I tried extenders but no luck. Wifi speed on my phone/tablet/laptop is 500-600Mbps in the same room but for my desktop, it tops at 30Mbps if im lucky. Should i look at wifi cards? My broadband is Sky Wifi 6 router. Any help will be appreciated.

No question is a silly question! Yep, connected the antenna, no interference. I tried resetting teh network adapter as suggested online and that worked for all of 15 mins or so and then back to the same issue.
