Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z Error (Q-Code 99)

Hello,

A few years ago I got a package from Overclockers due to moving house and changing jobs I didn't get round to building the system. Now, I have some time to build a full system and wanted to use the original parts. However, I can't get anything on screen to be able to configure BIOS/UEFI or install Windows on the SSD as it is clear (as new)

Symptoms
No signal to monitor via DVI-D or HDMI
Q-Code = 99 (Super IO Initialization)
Mobo error light "vga_led" = On constantly
Mobo error light "boot_device_led" = On constantly

Hardware
Mobo - Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
CPU - AMD (supplied in OC package)
GPU - EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM - 16GB DDR3 ??? (supplied in OC package)
SSD - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB
PSU - Crosair RM1000x

There are so many different problems identified with Q-Code 99 it is difficult to know where to start

• Checked and re-seated SATA and power cables
• Tried different SATA cables and ports on the motherboard
• Upgrade PSU from 650w to 1000w
• Tried removing battery from motherboard to reset BIOS

I REALLY need some help please to get this working, can anybody suggest what to try or know what the problem is?

After hours of tedious messing about I finally got the MB to post and install O/S. I then moved the case from one room to another and it won't post again, Q-Code C5 this time and RAM error light.

I have so had it with these Asus MB's, 100% not worth the price tag and won't be touch one again!
