Hi All

Please be gentle on me as I'm no expert on this stuff (as you can probably tell).

I have a Z790 Dark Hero mobo with i9-14900KF and RTX 4080 SUPER mainly being used for video/photo and I have 2 main questions.

1) Is it possible for this to work with the Apple Studio Display using one of the TB4 ports? (I'm guessing the MOBO would need to passthrough graphics from the 4080 or I'd need to come out of the DP on the 4080 into the DP in on the MOBO but I have no idea if a MOBO can do this? Also, if this does work somehow, will it also pass through audio from the onboard soundcard as the speakers on the Apple Display are good enough for me so I'd like to use them if I were to get one.

2) Can I use the Display Port-in on the board as a kind of capture card? I'd like to stream using HDMI out from my camera and wonder if this can be used in the same way as something like an Elgato capture card?

Thanks all

i have z790 here (non dark) so i will try

1. thunderbolt ports uses integrated graphics AFAIK.. not sure if it will work at all with your KF (no gpu). i have usb c dock connected to mine and it reports as the monitors connected to the dock are connected to intel graphics
2. board only has HDMI output. where do you see Displayport-in?
