Asus DH remote on non-DH boards?

I am at the stage of deciding which Core 2 board I want to get and I have it down to the P5W DH and the P5B Deluxe.

I'm not sure whether I'll be getting an E6400 or an E6600 but that really shouldn't be a problem. I just want a decent overclock with minimal voltage increase.

The main problem is the DH remote, I really want this thing but I fear I won't be able to use it with the P5B. Can anyone tell me whether you can install the drivers and make it work on one of these boards?

Also: the 4mb cache of the Conroes, will it make any difference in real life?

are you looking to buy both boards then or buy the remote seperatly?

btw the remote is terrble, i'll take the shuttle remote anyday.

Was looking to buy them separatly, what is this "shuttle remote" you speak of? Can you turn the machine on with it?

its a usb remote, can not turn system on as it doesnt connect to the board header, but can turn it off

im not sure if the asus remote can turn on the system, altough i admit i did not pay much attention to it.
