ASUS DriverHub software. Any ASUS users use it?

Looking to reinstall Win 11 on my PC with an ASUS B870 motherboard. I currently have the ASUS DriverHub installed which installs motherboard drivers from one convenient source. It also wants to install bloatware such as Norton. Is it worth installing again or manually installing drivers from ASUS the old fashioned way?

I have it on my ROG Strix Z690 WiFi machine but unselected the garbage.
Once you have your drivers on there you could uninstall it and let Windows look after it or maybe even just disable it from starting up and run it manually once in a while, that's what I do.

I have it and check it once a month to see if anything new has appeared now they've removed it from Armory crate.

You can pick which drivers you want to install, don't have to do them all including bundled software.

I disable it from the bios and install them manually.

I tend to keep the essential drivers on a usb for when I want to do a fresh install of windows.

This thread is very useful for the latest drivers for all ASUS boards

I have the driver hub link on my gamer but uninstalled armoury crate as it has bugger all options for my ROG Strix Z690 board.

Make sure if you want to use driver hub
That you have
The latest version as pretty sure
Sometime last year it had a remote code execution
Security problem

I get my drivers from manufacturers websites
Not as quick or convenient
But the asus ones are usually older versions
Amd chipset drivers for example
They roll out new versions more often on
Amd website

I don't use any motherboard software apart from the drivers which I download and install myself including chipset drivers which I get from AMD directly as they tend to be newer.

One decent software asus driver hub
Does offer me is aida64
That i actually do take
As I use it for sensor panels
On old android devices i have laying around

Also use aida64 to identify hardware
To be able to go look for
Component drivers that are newer
Than driver hub
