ASUS DSL-AC68U NTP dropout?

NTP is Network Time Protocol. It isn't significant in itself.

How often does it drop?
Does it drop and immediately reconnect?
Does putting the old router back on fix things?
Which ISP?
What sort of connection?
Have you checked the line for noise?
Have you tried the master socket test port?

Ah, thanks for clarifying.
To answer your questions:

How often does it drop?
Today, around 5 times.

Does it drop and immediately reconnect?
It can take up to 10 mins to re-establish the connection

Does putting the old router back on fix things?
Yes
Which ISP?
BT (O2 Business supplied though)
What sort of connection?
Fibre
Have you checked the line for noise?
Yep, all fine.
Have you tried the master socket test port?
Unsure what that means.

Thanks in advnaced.

Having had one, I still have it in a drawer somewhere. I would recommend you bin it and get something else. The support was woeful and never fixed the issues of CRC errors causing dropouts.
Google DSL-AC68U and crc errors and you'll find more.
I ended up using a BT modem and the Asus as an access point for a while but then got fed up with using a two box method...
