Asus DSL-N55U Modem/router high ping !

Hi guys & girls.

Anyone with a ASUS DSL N55U that had higher ping that the standard sent ones from your ISP ?

Basically I'm with Sky BB, only ADSL2+ @ about 10mbs & ping around 27-30ms via ping.net & uk servers on BF4 with the Home Hub, I've bought the said N55U & the ping is hitting around 40ms ? I've turned off the WIFI & QoS to see if its making it drop & taken out any other Ethernet cables ?

Now I know its not the end of the world but every ms counts in my games, does anyone know if there is a default setting that could mean the higher ping ? I've goggled it but nothing I can see...

Have you updated the firmware to the latest version?

Ping is great on mine

Yeah, bagged the lastest via Asus support & the FW check on the device states the same !...

I'll leave it on to see if the connection will settle but I can't think its that ?

I did a few sites & they were all within 1-2ms between them but I will get some up here...
