Down under mate!
Hi gents I've recently starting having no sound on bootup, the card is in device manager but I'm getting no sound. Rebooting the PC cures the issues but Intermittently I will restart the PC then boom no sound again.

I'm fairly confident this started after updating to Win10 64bit anniversary adition. I'm running the latest drivers which are dated from last year.

Anyone else suffering from the same problem.

Cheers all,

TC.

Plenty of audio problems with Windows 10, especially after the anniversary update. Asus Strix cards had issues with W10, but that might have been sorted now.

Have you tried Uni Xonar drivers on Maxedtech?

My Asus Strix did have loads of issues under W10. I thik its sorted out now, but for me, it was too little too lte and I have gone back to Creative, and I am still wondering why the hell I listened to all the people tellign me Asus all teh way.
Anyway my 3 Xonar D2X cards all have issues with the Power connection, this is because they are shoddily built I recon
On to the DX though... Thats been in my Media Centre and has been fairly good until not too long ago when I have had a near impossible search through my entire setup swapping biots over etc only to find out that the DX was the culprit... It had decided to **** everything up that it touches but in such a small way that it was almost impossible to trace. Took me 4 months to finally get it and the bloody soundcard is the culprit of all things.

I have 2 Asus cards that to my knowledge still work... I say to my knowledge because they are in PCs that are in my attic and I can no longer get into the attic because I am now not just head mental but Im leg mental too!

I also have the Uni Xonar drivers... They do seem to help.
