ASUS EAH5870v2 has started displaying artifacts on screen - small square blocks made of 4 dots showing all over screen.
The artifacts get worse when opening new windows, and are particularly bad playing Video through Media Player. They also start flashing occasionally.
Problem has been happening since 2 March.
I have tried reinstalling drivers from supplied CD.
I have tried installing latest Catalyst drivers from 3dGuru.
I have reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit from scratch.
Increasing vCore to 1.163v through SmartDoctor seems to alleviate the problems.
The artifacts do not appear running Lord of The Rings Online even using highest graphics settings.
Screen print pasted into word still shows the artifacts and i have tested through another monitor and they are still there.
Spec should be as Sig - I have not installed any new hardware / software other than Win 7 updates last week.
Any views on whether this is Driver or Hardware related? Any recommendations for cleaning out the drivers and stopping windows installing its own drivers on startup?
Card was purchased from Overclockers last June - and rig has been running smoothly at 4.0Ghz since 1st month.
