Asus EAX1900XT problem with Accelero 2

Hi,

last summer I bought the X1900XT and changed its cooler with an Accelero 2 to minimize the fan noise. During the last month after playing for about 10 minutes I get various artifacts on almost every game, especially the most demanding ones. I decided to run ATI tool and see whether the card gets overheated. I tried various clocks and found out that when I lowered the GPU clock to 350 (instead of 620MHz) the artifacts were gone. My question is this: Does the card and especially the GPU overheat? Could it be the PSU?
As far as the GPU overheat what can I do? If I remove the Accelero 2 where will I find new thermal pads?

I stuck my thermal pads on the cooler rather than the ram. I now and again get little arttys appearing when I play Battlefield 2 as a sniper if i'm zooming with the scope. It kinda helps sometimes as the artifacts will appear around someone whos just out of sight. so i can gain a few more yards on em.

I'd try the stock cooler again if its fine it may be an issue when you've mounted the x2 cooler, it may not be sitting flush on the core.
I'd also make sure the volts are set as default, try using Concorde Rules's thread at the top of the Graphics card section it really helped me.

Cheers,

The strange thing is that the problem didnt start from the beginning...I have noticed it only during the last 30-45 days. Could it be the PSU?
