i need help i want a small portable linux laptop for less than £350 these seem prime candidates but which one? when are they all released?
thanks

there all basically the same specs but the ee has a larger harddrive and user base? i think ill go for the eee 901 :)

Eee 901 - Crap keyboard, very good battery life with the standard battery. Pretty fast, well made.

Wind - Seems good, a little big for the kind of thing it is though and I'm not sure what the battery is like.

One - My choice of the lot, with the 120gb HD it has loads of storage, Atom CPU, 1gb ram for £250 and it looks very good. Battery life is poor as standard but you can get a 6 cell which doubles it.

I've just ordered a 901 XP. I wanted it for surfing via mobile broadband only so battery life and small size swung it for me. Wasn't concerned about storage and SSD storage was a bonus as I am likely to be walking around with it and chucking in my rucksack.

typhoon you could have got the 20 gig linux version and i could have given you my unused xp key
also i take it you pre ordered

No, in was in stock when I purchased it late Thursday night, chose the free delivery option which normally takes 5 working days, but its been dispactched already and should be arriving on Moday :) Couldn't Find a Linux 901 in stock anywhere 9though I would propbably still have gone for the XP version for better battery life and ease of setting up 3's usb broadband modem. Still it has more memory than I'll probably need and SDHC cards are pretty cheap these days.

Go for the Advent 4412 (Wind re-badged), Im biased though since I own the Advent :p

seriously though, it has very good screen with the biggest size out of the three and very usable keyboard. Battery life is "poor" with the 3-cell battery (2-2.30 hours) but soon you can get an 6-cell which will last for 5-6 hours ;) the rest of the spec are comparable to the Acer ONE except smaller HDD (80GB vs 120GB)
