Looks like they've finally made it to the UK (or at least I see a UK site with them), anyone got one yet?

I'm considering picking one up shortly

EDIT: yes I should have just re-posted in my old thread about these, but I am a bit drunk :D

I'm dying to know if it has the GN40 in it. Waiting for a netbook that can finally play all my x264 720p without any problems.

If we are getting the same as what everywhere else in the world has got then it does not. It's the same old chipset but with the new CPU.

The GN40 is not going to be in any system until start of summer I would guess (around same time as the Ion probably).

Thing is, if the Ion is everything NVidia claim it to be then the GN40 will be pretty useless as Ion should be able to do 1080p x264 / Blu-ray while GN40 is only 720p.

I wonder what the next netbook chipsets / cpus slated for a (mid-)2010 launch are going to be like :D

I havent heard that Intel is agreeing to let manufacturers use the Atom with anything else? Asus did the NJ10 but both the Intel and Nvidia GPU's were in there.

ION is a big threat to Intel's market as everyone would rather have that. I have no faith in Intel graphics. Then again does Joe Soap who just manages to launch firefox and Office even care??

I think Intel had agreed to in principle let Atom be used with the Ion (only after a huge outcry when it initially turned out they were trying to block it), however I'm not sure if Ion will still use the Atom or not (the protypes tested do use it) or if it will use some sort of VIA CPU.

ion is heading in the right direction. lets hope nvidia and intel will be sensible, doubt it.
i still have a chuckle when i see the eee700.. maybe in another 10 evolutions we'll have atom 2ghz, 8400M, 3G, touch screen tablets with a nice keyboard, big/fast SSD drive and 15 hour batteries in sleek aluminum casing :D .... ok maybe another 20 generations lol

this 1000HE ticks a couple more of them boxes, getting there :)
hear some new msi wind netbook had a battery life of 15hrs so thats another criteria ticked off.
