I am having a tale of woe with my 2 year old ASSU FX705DY.
It's out of warranty but the retailer couldn't point me in the direction of any spares but ASUS direct. They have customer support but if they have a page that sells spares I don't know where it is. Yes I've looked.
So far I have mistakenly bought a CPU fan (not knowing which of left of right was which) from Germany on ebay. Doesn't fit where i need it they're handed.
Mistakenly bought another CPU fan from France, advertised as GPU cooler but on VERY close examination of the photos it does show what I got.
Ebay and Amazon have options to buy from China a pair of fans one of each, cos I need a third spare for my already working CPU cooler. But no GPU cooler options. Not committing to these yet as 1 month delivery and I've already wasted 2 weeks. Ideally would like to buy from UK.
I have tried google. I have found innumerable sites selling spares but only 1 in France seems to have the GPU cooler and photo looks right. Cant compare part numbers as theirs is not the same as on fan in lap top. So an option if I don't mind waiting another week.
I've tried searching for part number on google no joy.
Can anyone reccomend any good UK laptop spare parts companies? Google just returns so many choices I've lost heart searching though them all to find another CPU fan advert but no GPU.
