Asus g751 win10 upgrade issues

I have just about had enough tonight and am ready to chew my own testicals off. Laptop is asus g751 with windows 8.1 got the win10 icon in bottom of screen, all updates are done so decided to upgrade to win10 already have it downloaded and on a usb key as it was used to upgrade 2 other systems I have.

click setup, off it goes keep everything for now, sit back and watch progress gets to 30% reboots and then fails with the following message

0xc1900101 - 0x3001a
installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during Begin_First_Boot operation.

anyone any ideas what I need to do?
I done a quick google and disabled my network card but that made no difference

well I finally got there, with my testicles in one piece
every time I tried to update via a usb stick it would crash, so .I started the upgrade process from the actual windows upgrade option and it worked fine, now time to try a complete clean install.........
