Probably not, both of them aren't ideal on their own for 4K, but if it's a Gsync 4K panel, it should negate the small performance difference.

so there is no point in getting a 4k monitor?

I am wanting a bitfenix prodigy matx case and im decided on this, ive read it would not be sensible to run 2 cards in sucha small case. Im happy to spend the extra £200 if im going to notice.

regards,
lewis.

would it not make more sense to bu two 290 instead?

The Asus 780 is currently £340, a 290 tri-x is £290.
If you're willing to spend an extra £200 for a 780ti, you may as well buy a second 290 for the same price.

well ive been told it would be risky running 2 cards in a prodigy matx case, as its already gonne be tight in there :/ if getting a 780ti means theres no point in getting a 4k montior i dont know what to do.

regards,
lewis

you will be held back by 1 card at 4k, i don't see any reason to limit yourself through choice of case either. I mean your going to be looking at the monitor not the case at the end of the day.

Go back the drawing board and start again, but this time decide on what resolution you want to game at first and work backwards from there.

Prob bad idea I didn't explain.

I want to spend max £2000.00 am a mega fallout fan so I'd like to future proof it for the prospect of another fallout.

I want a prodigy matx bitfenix for the ease of transport my friend has a Pc and I'd like to take it about and he has 2 good screens.

I reckon4kk is enought for a nice machine and I'd be prepared to go to 2400 with a 4k monitor but if not I don't really mind just a good aoc monitor would be fine.

Problem id I can't decide on gpu, I was gonna get a Titan card but I don't see the poi jiving I want to when needed I'll get a Titan, but I think 780ti will see me to new fallout.

Why not go SLI 780ti's with that sexy Asus Swift 1440p G-sync monitor? :D

Would make for an awesome gaming experience!

All sounds good but idea is £2000.00

I want a nice aoc (£400.00)
Gpu has to be 780ti or two 780s
Case bitfenix prodigy Matx
I7 quad
Nice micro atx motherboard
Hydro h80i or better
Nice led fans
2tb ssd
2tb drive
All braided cables
Fan controller

I'm most worried about noise and heat :/ would go to 2400 with 4k monitor

Forget both of those and pick up an MSI GTX 780 Ti Gaming Twin Frozr, £450 and fast as hell.

MSI's GTX 780 Ti is almost too good to be true. The card comes overclocked out of the box, to 1020 MHz base clock, which, thanks to Boost 2.0, runs the card at 1144 MHz on average - higher than most other custom GTX 780 Ti cards. Compare this to the GTX 780 Ti reference board and it results in a significant 8% percent performance improvement, making it the fastest graphics card we ever tested. Yes, even faster than the dual-GPU HD 7990 and GTX 690. Compared to AMD's Radeon R9 290X, the difference is 16%, which is about as much as the R9 290X's lead over the previous-generation HD 7970 GHz.

If you are looking for the absolute fastest card that money can currently buy, then look no further than the MSI GeForce GTX 780 Ti GAMING 3G.

To summarise:
Stupidly fast that will handle anything you throw at it. If speed is what your heart desires then you should arrange a date with the MSI GTX 780 Ti Twin Frozr Gaming OC.

MSI's GeForce GTX 780 Ti Gaming 3G is in our estimation one of the best interpretations of Nvidia's hard-hitting GPU.

Factory overclocked right out of the box, the Gaming 3G card goes like the clappers, runs cool at all times and, unlike many high-end alternatives, does so while keeping noise output down to a comfortable level.

If you do not get a 4K with Gsync but you want the AOC 4K, get a 290X.
And save your money for future upgrade on 3**X, since you are limited by the small box.

If you can squeeze two GPUs in the small box, and still want the AOC 4K, get 2 R9 290.

Again GTX780 & Ti are options to pick, but Value/Perfomance ratio is pretty poor compared to the 290s.

If you go down to the Nvidia route, with single 780 (preferably 6GB) or single 780Ti, you will get most out of them if you use a 4K Gsync monitor.

But at the end of the day is down to your pocket :)

Your Storage requirements eat in to your spec considerably, i priced something rough up to see what room was left in your budget for GFX cards and a Monitor. The PSU may not fit but i added it as a placeholder to give an idea of price and i felt a 1000w might be needed for SLI (i'm sure someone could suggest a more suitable PSU).

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Z97M Gaming - Devil's Canyon i7 4790K CPU & Micro ATX Motherboard Bundle **£18 Saving** £351.98
2 x Samsung 1TB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE1T0BW) £332.99 (£665.98)
1 x SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 1000W Fully Modular "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £119.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H80i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler £74.99
1 x BitFenix Prodigy M MATX Cube Case - Arctic White £74.95
1 x Avexir Core Red Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CIR) £65.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £54.98
Total : £1,408.86 (includes shipping : ).

I think i would drop to 1tb SSD (probably 500gb for me peronally) for games and a 2tb mechanical and save a few hundred to put towards gfx cards.

And again i think you need to choose a monitor so people can spec you better, i don't get why people are saying buy a 780ti either when the new 8xx series are due soon. When do you need/want this build for?

Edit: My suggestion would be to budget in for the 4k gsync drop some storage from the budget and wait and see what prices/performance the 8xx series bring to the table.
