Asus GTX285 DOA

So I got all my new rig today, working like a charm, except for the GPU which just doesn't fire up at all fan spins but thats it, no monitor etc..

Tried it on another board, nothing there either, all cables connected correctly.

Shoved my old 8800 in, fired up straight away.... looks like an RMA.... just hope OCUK are good at them (my first one) and can get me a new gpu ASAP.

heh, yes ofcourse I did everything by the book, wired, checked, checked, then checked again. Before main turn on, know it's definately the GPU as with the 8800 in now working fine, and the GTX285 didn't work in my old rig either.

Shame, never had an nvidia DOA before, but guess one of those things... just cross my fingers OcUK are good on rmas will send it special delivery back to them.

possible power issues?? you got enough juice to run it?

PSU is a 700w Pro Modular Coolermaster, more than enough to juice even 2 of them. Have 3 hard drives and a dvd rom on it.

Just sent it off in the post now special delivery, lets hope OcUK gets me a new one pronto, so far service has been spot on (which is why i've purchased my last two pc's with them)
