Asus GX1000 Eagle Eye

Hello all

Right, I've been looking to get a new mouse. I know Computex is around the corner so I'm sure there'll be something to tempt me that comes out of that.

At the minute I'm divided between the good old Deathadder 2013 and the GX1000. I'm a complete neat freak and ideally would match the Deathadder with a Blackwidow and the GX1000 with the yet to be released ROG Armor Keyboard.

GX1000 owners, what are your thoughts?

Does no one own a GX1000 then? It either means it's terrible, or terribly expensive...

The impression I've got of it is it's much like the Alienware peripherals in its goal, and by that I mean it's basically meant just as an addition for people who buy the Asus ROG laptops rather than as a serious competitor for most peripheral companies. As a result it's a very rare thing. It's serviceable but doesn't really justify the price unless you really want metal (in which case I'd say go Corsair M65/M95, to be honest I would recommend going for one of those paired with the excellent Corsair keyboards rather than either Asus or Razer)

Ksanti, thanks for that perspective. I've always heard good things about Corsair's Vengeance products but never taken note. About time I did by all accounts!
