My niece has a Asus K53E laptop and have been having issues with the wireless connection, apparently the wireless connection used to work just fine but she hasn't used the laptop in about a year and has just started using it again but now she cant connect to the wireless network.
I have done a complete Windows 7 x64 fresh install and installed all the drivers and device manager is showing no issues with drivers. The wireless device in the ASUS is a Intel Centrino Wireless-N 100 device, the wifi icon in the task bar has the yellow exclamation mark over it and when clicking on it it only shows my home wifi modem which only has 1 bar of signal strength despite the modem only be about 5 foot away also it is not showing any other network device at all if i go on my phone and search for wireless signal i see about 9 different devices.
Any ideas what the issue might be?
