Hey guys, im after a 22inch Monitor but just cant decide.

Ive been looking at the LG L226WTQ 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black/Silver, but i dont like the way that the stand is black and the panel is white (yes i know picky but looks means everything to me to be honest), so leaving that to one side for now, unless someone can convince me it looks nice like that?

The other LG one, LG 22LS4R 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor with TV Tuner - Black, looks a very nice monitor indeed, anyone had any experience with it?

The Dell E228WFP 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black, has anyone had any experince with this monitor either, would like to hear what its like?

Finally the Asus MW221U 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Silver/Black, this monitor has been suffering from ghosting a lot, just wondering if this issue has been solved and what are peoples views on it now?

So whats everyones thought about them 4? Oh and before everyone saids have a look at the Samsung, not even thinking about that becuase of the panel nightmare thats going on. Thnaks guys. :D

I'm more than likely going to the first LG as I think its a steal at that price compared to others....

I was going to get the samsung but have been dissuaded similiarly over the panel situation. I am however tomorow going to a local shop to have a look at one to see if I can be won over...

The second LG though is probably one of the better choices IMO, mainly because of the inputs...Although I cant stand having speakers visible on a screen

Having a 1680x1050 20" screen already I would want to "jump up" a resolution for a slightly larger scren. Course it'll mean slower framerates in windows for the same detail/higher resolution but that's too be expected.

Thanks for the reply guys, if the LG L226WTQ 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor was what im going to get as it is displayed on OCUK website, thats the one i would get, but with the colours being the other way round, it just dosent look as nice. :(

Can anyone actually confirm that LG have changed the colour design on that monitor completely, or is it you might get that design and you might not?

I've seen it with this colour design...which looks good, if it's actually the same monitor  .

Down the page a bit, the L226WA on the left and the L226WTQ on the right.

The L226WA seems to be the same as the L226WTQ but with more connectors - WA has 'HDMI, Component, PC Audio Out(HDMI sound output)'

It looks like most places in the UK only have the silver version of the monitor even though some sites are showing the all black or black frame silver base versions in their product pictures.

Don't have one myself, but from reading this thread, and in particular this post, it seems that ASUS now have a fix for the ghosting problem (but that people outside of the UK are having problems getting this firmware fix).

my 226WTQ has a black stand and the monitor is a ligh silver, it looks good luckily i went for a silver theme with my pc/monitor.

it does look nicer than the black screen imo but then again i havent seen the black screen in person.

Should have a black surround, always. Having light surround distracts the eye. Although saying that both of my TFT's are silver...god damn this silver fad. :(

reason why cinema surrounds aren't silver, they're matt black.
