Hey there guys,

Just a quick question about upgrading some of the components in my 3 year old rig.

Im running

AMD X2 6000+
4GB OCZ SLi Ram
BFG Geforce 8800GTS (640mb)
and the Asus M2N32-Sli Deluxe

I love my pc, it does what i want it to do, no complaints at all
over the past few years, and the only game ive really played on
the thing is world of warcraft, i mainly use this for playing HD movies,
and watching BBC iplayer and 4oD.

Instead of me building a new pc over the next few months im wondering with
a bios update what CPU and GPU i could put into this lovely little mobo to prolong its life.

If it could support a nice little quad from AMD and maybe a Nvidia 460, id be quiet pleased, anyone know if this is possible? or would this cause problems.

Cheers
Chris

A 940BE should run fine with a 10% overclock.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Cooler Master C90, Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe (BIOS 1701), AMD Phenom II X4 940BE at 3300 MHz,
Cooler: OCZ Gladiator Max, Corsair XMS2 4G DDR2-1066, Sapphire ATI HD 4850 516MB,
Hitachi 300Gb, Maxtor 300Gb, Creative SB Audigy 2 Platinum, PCTV 3010iX Dual Analogue + DVB-T.

I had that board...2 infact they were great almost feel bad about selling them. Can confirm that AM3 620/630 quads work but they really dont like to o/c on that board

Ahh thats good to know, i seached on asus site and a few other forums, and supposedly a few of the phenom 2 will work also, dont have the cash atm for a full build, so gonna upgrade a few parts to keep me going the next year or so, nice little quad and a 460 it is then!

Cheers guys!

Chris
