System problem
==============
Ive just upgrade the the cpu to the phenom 9600+
But the system freezes up as the system boots
If i try entering the bios it also freezes as i enter the bios setup
I also get blue screen of death every time i try to boot the system
I sent the chip back for testing to OCUK but they say the chip is fine
So ive cleared the cmos run bios in default settings
Re-flashed the bios again incase of bad update but seems fine
Ran the system in barebones I.E.
1 and 2 sticks of ram
One graphics card one hard drive
Still the system blue screens and freezes
Ive run out of ideas now anyone got any idea or had the same problem ?

Thanks EnCoDeR

Thanks for the info tried setting manually but still the same blue screen as soon as the system boots

I’ve just changed the chip to the Black edition and that’s the same too
I’m going to take it and go to the Intel quad core and be dammed with AMD
Shame really been with amd for years now

But after reading the forums on the amd site and asus site there’s major problems
With the L2 cache and the B2 stepping not being able to control the addressing
Of the chips

I’ve now even tried the gigabyte mobo
That OC said to try as they have had a stable system running on it
But still no luck with that either

yeah system runs solid as a rock on the X2 chip

and yes the chip blue screens on 2 motherboards
Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 nForce 570 SLi
Asus M2N32 WS Pro nForce 590 SLi

it also dose the same on my other set of ram as well
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB)

so im out of ideas

sometimes i can enter the bios with the phenom in
but 86% of the time it freezes as i enter the setup mode

Still the same with my older 160g wd hard drive in
and my old coolermaster 620watt PSU

reading even more of the amd forums and asus forums
seems to loads of peep having the same problem with the phenom's
on all boards :S think i bought a really bummed chip

ok even more bad news ive just recived the ( NEW 1802 bios update )
direct from Asus Support in China
guest what now i cant even boot the system :S
it now locks up on the post screen
even after a reflash just incase it went wrong
reverted back to 1703

thanks m8ty at least i wernt going mad :)
i taken the chip and board back today
and swapped it out for the Intel Q6700 Quad core chip
and the Asus Tri -SLI P5N-T Deluxe mobo
just cant take any more agro with it

crossin fingers now that this lot should work :)
thanks again EnCoDeR
