Firstly I am wondering if anyone here is using this motherboard supporting Phenom. The obvious reason bieng I decided to buy a Phenom cpu without checking compatability. But now that I look around, at asus' site and other places supplied by google, theres not a lot of info. I ofcourse found the new bios updates, up to version 1203 beta, but wondering if anyone here is using this with Phenom and knows what bios you really need.
Thanks

Just sold my mobo, same as yours due to asus website doesn't mention any support for phenom, so I went for an Intel upgrade C2D, and sold this mobo on MM along with my CPU 3800x2. Bought a Ocuk IP35 Pro mobo, and E2200 CPU, Glad it did to be honest.

I aint the usual FANBOY Intel like most on here, my last upgrade from a 939 - 3000+ single core to a 3800x2 was when the E6600 etc was prime, but I stuck with AMD, but after playign with a mates C2D setup last week and overclocking his system to silly speeds much easier than overclocking my AMD system, I have gone for Intel.

Personally I don't see the point in new expensive hardware ie Q6600 - although I would love to get one, but my funds tend to not allow it, running a house, a car, a WIFE!!!! and a son, I am always about about 9-12months behind new technology, as you get so much better value for money.

Curiousity, what CPU was u running previously, and did you o/c it?

running an amd x2 4200 atm, swapped it because my main pc was a 939 x2 3800 which I overclocked to 2.4. but this setup is am2, so thought I'd go for it. Not tried OC it yet but I will when I swap coolers with my tuniq in the other system, and if the phenom works :(

I did a lot of research on google and still nothing. A lot of people asking the question and no definate replies. A lot of people saying bios update and a lot of others saying wont work. If the cpu doesnt work I can send ti back right?
