ASUS MARS BAR

In this case, in defence of the op, there a speed limits in this country, which actually render the fastest cars useless, if you are buying them purely for speed. So whilst buying an £80,000 car for it's faster speed over a £10,000 model might not be flouting wealth, it is useless.

So, hmm, similar to vsync? There are no games that need the power of two of these cards at the moment, and when there are games that need the power, these cards will be so long obsolete it'll be insulting to whoever bought them.

lol :P

actruly there was usefull advise

A. DX11 cards may beat it
B. well too expesnive and its possible to make better for less

sorry I made things worst didn't I ?

No no, don't worry, you made things were better.

That's true, but imo the cards won't be completely obsolete. I mean a few people still run an 8800gtx or 2, I know that was a one off card, but it goes to show.

8800 GTXes are obsolete. It doesn't mean they're rubbish, but they've been surpassed by hardware which is faster and cheaper, therefore they have become obsolete.

These cards have to become obsolete faster than normal due to their extortionately high price.

When DX11 hits, ATi will be out with cards that'll be faster ultimately, in terms of crossfiring 2 5870s, or they may just release a 5870X2 at the same time, which will obviously be a lot faster than one of these mars bars, for a lot less money.

Lets be honest it is simply the price of these cards which is the biggest reason not to buy one let alone two. With new cards weeks\months away there isn't any good reason to pay this much for the performance which in those terms alone the price is not justified.
