Asus max gene use preset bios level up or do it manual ?

i have an i7 2600k and use the asus built in cpu level up setting to goto 4.2 or 4.6 ghz and am getting allot of lock ups and reboots.

is it best to do it all manually as i cannot see how asus can get every setting correct for cpu and ram with the built in bios option over doing it manually.

btw i'm using this ram

its been 100% stable for 3 days now been gaming most of weekend due to naff weather and it has not locked up once or done anything weird at startup.

I used them exact settings.
