I have just ordered the following 'Asus Maximus VII Ranger - Devils Canyon Core i7 4790K CPU & Motherboard Bundle' but have seen/heard that the BIOS may need flashing due to some temperature issues presented by older versions of the Bios, I'm not as tech savy as some & have never tried anything like flashing a bios which I understand comes with some risk.
So my first question is does this mobo still come with the wrong/outdated version of the Bios? if so
How would I go about it in the least risky manner?
Should I ditch that mobo & get a more suited one to the CPU?

Mods: I have posted almost same quetion in the motherboard section sorry for duplicate but thought my question was more suited here.

Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the BIOS version because of the sheer length of the supply chain. It's unlikely to have an old BIOS version because we sell a lot of these but still we can't be 100% sure.

That said, flashing the BIOS is pretty simple and safe these days. Simply load the BIOS file onto a USB pen drive, plug it in and boot into BIOS. Find the BIOS flash option in the BIOS and follow the instructions. As long as you don't remove the power during the flash process there shouldn't be a single problem.
