Hello,
Has anyone seen one of these, or know of any reviews? i have googled my googles off but come up with very little.

Dont want to buy anything until i see this review.

Anyone know when they will be in the UK?

Thanks

Late

Noticed these last night whilst perusing for a new tft sadly still carnt seem to find much info on them but i do like the looks of it,would be nice to know a eta for them...as i have the samsung 215tw on the top of my list at the moment as im far too concerned about the image quality on the new 22" ers that are emerging.

Have one on order should be with me on wednesday :) ,will post some pics etc,etc when it comes hopefully i made the right decision as i wouldnt of used the other connections on the samsung 215tw which was on the top of my list till yesterday.

saw one of these in the flesh today at my local computer fair... it looks a lot bigger then it is, due to a thin bezel, unfortunatley the movie they were churning through it made it impossible to gauge quality, seems well built and fairly priced at £299.

Oooo, do keep us updated Dougsnake. Just discovered this monitor and I am very interested...

Well it arrived today no dead pixels so thats the major worry out the way after a bit of tinkering with the display settings picture now looks much better than my dell fpw2005 the original settings were a bit worrying but have ironed them out only by what i see no special colour calibration tools etc,etc
Is a little back light bleed on dark backgrounds but its only slight on the edges and nowhere near as aweful as my dell was.
The stand is a little low but not a problem on my desk it only has tilt but is solid enough i never used pivot or swivel on the dell ,its not a problem for me like i said but something other people may want to consider.
As for ghosting none at all :) have tested on fear rfactor and f1c.
Have noticed the interploration is not quite as good as the dell was but i think its more to do with the larger pixel size as i increased the resolution abit compared to how i had it set up on the dell and now looks just as good.
Text has a slight after glow but have tuned most of it away and again not a problem to me and im still tinkering with it.
You get all the accessories you need with it too,dvi cable,d-sub cable audio cable (not that ill ever use the built in speakers) user manual on cd rom power cables both uk and eu 2 pin versions and was packaged very well with protective plastic screen over the panel.
On the whole for £290 its worth its money to me,im not a graphics professional or anything like that so there is proberly better screens for that type of work but i mainly wanted it for gaming and normal program usage not too bothered about videos as i have a hdtv for that and after reading the various panel technology types this suits my purpose very well and im chuffed it appears to look much clearer and less dull than the dell 2005fpw i had.

Not much else to say about im not a hardware reviewer so if missed any thing you want to know ask away.......

regards

Dougsnake, when you used the Dell for gaming did you notice ghosting on that?

Also, how bad are the viewing angles on it being a TN panel?

If you move your head up/ down a few inches, does it affect the image on screen?

Thanks. :)

Thanks for the update Dougsnake - it would be great to see some pics.

I'm definitely going to go for a 22 incher. At the moment this one and the Samsung are favourite.

impressive spec, that's the first monitor over 19" to have a 2ms G2G response time quote...

To quote the person who posted in that forum there (courtesy of Google translation) :

Thus AMHA it is excrement limps about it this site which announces fictitious dispos and which puts what he wants in his descriptions!

lol :) Basically, he says it's a load of excrement which quotes a website which can put whatever it wants in the decription to sell the product -the rest of the point you can grasp from the statment :P

Anyway, I think there is a lot of hype surrounding this monitor regarding its speed - with costs of the monitor on one website at $799 Australian dollars which equates to about £325 GBP

Since there it's not an international company and no international shipping take a look at the product:

no pics in there though - the zero bright dot warranty must be from Asus.

No i didnt notice ghosting on the dell.

Horizontal viewing side to side is good, starts to lighten abit but is the same as the dell was.
Vertical viewing is the same looking downwards but looking upwards at it from the floor looks much worse i only look upwards at it when im tinkering with my pc so not too bothered, for normal usage whilst sat on my chair is fine.

btw will sort some pics asap just dont expect david bailey quality snaps :p

Will this monitor be good for gaming ? I am upgrading from a samsung 172s 17" tft will the quality difference be noticable ?

(sorry n00b!)

Thanks for the pics. The image on screen does look rather dark - I assume this is just due to the effect of the flash. Did you try taking any pictures without flash?
