Behind you... Naked!
I was given one of the most useless piles of utter junk the other day, off my sister.

Its an ASUS NotePad, its a Celeron whatever, and its got a nice 8GB RAM and a 1TB HD, but it was stuck in some loop where it tried, and failed to update something and so she asked me to look at it for her.

I got it home and it seemed to me, that there was some issue with the Hard disk, and the moment, the NotePad tried to access that part of the disk, it would reset.

So, as it is sealed, and there is nowhere to take out the HD or RAM, I though sod it, I will just reinstall Windows from scratch, and so I did that and went through the entire thing but then, it reset again, it did this 3 times ad then went off... I have not b een able to get it to start up at all since?

I have since opened it up to find the motherboard is a tiny thing, smaller than an ITX board, the RAM is soldered into the board and the HD can be swapped out, but only to replace it with a smaller one.

Any ideas on what I can try?

Its a shame as she has only had it for just over a year.
