Latest few weeks OCUK have been getting OC versions of the Asus TUF. Whats happening with the non OC users who pre-ordered it? Like are we getting left in the dark with no update whatsoever? Wouldnt be so bad to give an update regarding those.

ASUS, I think on twitter, have stated that they are producing OC and non-OC cards in equal amounts. Watching the real world deliveries, both from OC and other sources, many of us are sceptical of that claim. There seem to mostly be OC cards, which as the cards with the higher markup makes sense from a business perspective, but sucks for those waiting.

I doubt overclockers have any more details than we do. They only seem to know what and when deliveries they are getting a day or two out from arrival.

Aren't they likely the exact same card, with a different BIOS chip installed?

Where did you find that mention? I looked on their twitter last few weeks and they have been extremely silent on the 3080.

Yep. And since the OC is more expensive that is pure profit.

I've seen it quoted here by people repeatedly, not actually checked it myself. To be honest I'm in the "they are badging them all OC for the extra profit" side, since for all their cards only OC seems to be appearing.

Tbh the oc and non oc are simply binned cards with different bios based on their binning
Tbh for the sake of 20 quid extra I’d much rather have a better bin every time and go win the oc version

Since all the cards OC or non OC boost above 1785 then I doubt they need to bin them.

They have different bios but you still get the same PL on the non OC and can just do the overclock yourself or even flash the OC bios on if you really want but makes little sense do so unless you don't want to manually overclock.

Absolutely no point paying extra for the OC version from a performance point of view although if it means you get the card sooner then that could make it worthwhile dropping a few extra quid.

I specifically ordered the non-OC TUF model on launch day (17th).
28 Days on and all I've had is one single email with a queue position for a update.

It's about time OCUK made a phone call to their supplier to get a ETA on this model.
As no news, is not good news.
