decided to go for a 120Mhz monitor & possibly the 3D kit but can't decide between the Asus or Benq, reviews on the net are somewhat uncertain as both have good & bad aspects.
The Benq XL2410T on offer this weekend is tempting but I wonder if the Asus VG23H 23" is a better option. Is the shiny screen really a problem as pointed out on various revues?

I had two examples of the Benq XL2410 and both were awful. Very bad backlight bleed, poor colours and contrast and both were sent back. Not everyone is unhappy with theirs though, but I'd go for the Asus every time.

I've just got one of the new Hazro 27" monitors without the glass front and this has a glossy screen similar to the Asus. I'm not finding it a problem at all and the benefits to picture quality are really worth it IMO.

I've gone for the Asus, unfortunately seems OcUk don't sell the monitor with Nvidia glasses kit included anymore as available elsewhere so I paid a bit over the odds for separate parts but at least I know that OcUk are reliable if I get a fault, seems to be more good revues for the Asus than the Benq, should arrive Tuesday :D

Cool. Let us know what you think of the Asus.

got it set up & it's brilliant, first widescreen monitor for me & expected things might look odd but it's fine, everything is sharp & crystal clear compared to my old 19" Samsung Synchmaster.

3D effect is excellent after a truggle to get it working because I didn't spot the on/off button on the glasses & that it needed charging up first :p

As I wear glasses myself I could see the reflection slightly in the back of the Nvidia ones so don't know if that would bother me given time, played Just Cause2 for a few minutes & the 3D effect was excellent, no ghosting or flickering but it needs time to fiddle with settings to get it just right .
