So after doing loads of research i have narrowed my netbook choice to these two,

ASUS N10J HV011E - Got everything and more for a netbook

samsung NC10 - Seems to be the most popular one amongst various people.

In your opinion what would be the better choice? Price is not a problem.

Samsung NC10! Better quality products and looks better inside and out!

but thats not even a reason!

I got the samsung 2 days ago and its amazing, looks great all colours i got the black, very fast netbook, runs like a really fast computer!

You can upgrade the samsung very easy by adding more RAM and a bigger hard drive.

i dont know much about that Asus but im sure it cant beat a 6/7 hour battery life that the samsung has!

Seems like the overwhelming majority support the NC10.

Tell me, is there a guide where it describes how i can install xp again without an optical drive on the samsung?

I intend to upgrade the ram and hard drive.

I know the Samsung are popular here on this forum, but I just prefer the LMB/RMB/Mouse pad on the ASUS.

It´s a little thing, but something that you use a lot. Yes it´s a personal opinion and I am sure that there will be many who disagree, but I find the Samsung buttons are not as user friendly.

I have an NC10, but I have only just read the specs of the Asus and I was quite impressed up until I saw the battery life. Then I went off it. 2-3 hours is a huge disappointment given that it has advantages of optical drive, HDMI, draft-N and just perhaps better graphics. Rather keep my long battery life on the NC10 thanks all the same. Once it can match battery life of the NC10, I would consider it myself. Not a big fan of Asus glossy screen but it does come with Vista as standard, which the NC10 did not.

Thats what i mean the specs are great, the battery life is not a consern with me i have my power adapter.

Question: What is the highiest 2.5inch HDD that is avaliable with 7200rpm

I think it depends on what you want to use a netbook for - portability or novelty of the size. Its always going to be limited by the Atom processor, and if you are not going to take battery life into account as you will run off the mains, then would you really need a netbook if you dont plan to be portable?
If I didnt need portability then I would probably go for a better spec laptop with larger screen size, dual core and faster bus/memory etc...
At the pre-release price of around £450 I'd want a bit more in a netbook. Even with the added extras, I would certainly expect Asus to market it around the Samsung netbook price bracket in order to compete for business -probably too much to ask. Samsung priced it right for the market.
I think 500GB is the largest SATA laptop drive I have seen so far.
Edit: Sorry, dont think it was 7200rpm, so perhaps 320GB might be your next choice.
