Having always been an asus mobo fan I am currently in the process of building up a new system as mine id pretty old these days. For most of the spec the choices seem fairly obvious but for motherboard I am a bit stuck. I have been looking at the Asus P5K Deluxe Wifi as a good overclockable p35 ddr2 board. But am really wondering now if it is worth the extra cost over an Abit IP35? What are the real differences. The system will be a quad Q6600 and 8800GTX machine btw.

Any help / advice much appreciated.

Well i have just bought the Asus P5K-E and pretty impressed with it so far (only built it up yesterday). Could not justify or afford really the deluxe version and from what i had read about the P5K-E its pretty much the same board, just without some of the fancy stuff.

On the other hand, my brother has just got the IP35 Abit and he is happy with that too.

Thanks for the replies, I guess basically my question boils down to, it is worth waiting for an Asus P5K deluxe Wifi and worth spending more money on it or is the Abit IP35 Pro just as good? Would I be missing out on much with the Abit?

Instead of the Asus P5K Deluxe/wi fi, you might want to have a look at the Asus P5K Premium/wi fi, which is the replacement for the aforementioned mobo...:)
