Hay all.

After my recent problems with overclocking my Gigabyte EP43-DS3 mobo im picking up my Asus P5Q Deluxe mobo tomorrow and will get to work straight away over clocking it. But being a Gigabyte user for a while and never using Asus bios i think id best ask for advise 1st before tweeking.
My Set up:

Case: Antec 900
Motherboard: Asus P5Q Deluxe
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quod Q9550
Memory: Corsair XMS2 1066 DDR2 5-5-5-15 2.1v - 2.5v Total of 4GB
Memory Cooler: Corsair Twin Fan
Graphics: ATI Radeon Sapphire HD 4850 x 2 Crossfired
CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 watercooled system

I have seen these CPU's hit 4GHz so that would be a great result.
Can anyone with a simler set up share there bios settings so i have a plave to start.

Many Thanks
Paul

Everything you need is in here. All my settings from 3.8Ghz to 4.13Ghz are in there as well as loads of other settings and good advice. P5Q bios are more or less the same no matter what version of the board you have.

Thanks mate. Installed the new mobo. All worked perfect without windows reinstall. Just installing the Asus software from disk (thats taking its sweet time) and then i will try your overclock settings.

Many thanks
Paul

It might be beneficial to reinstall anyway as the OS will still be full of the gigabyte drivers floating around in the registry etc... I have to admit that I didn't reinstall vista when I put my HDD from my Athlon X2 system into my current rig... vista worked, found all the required drivers etc but it does seem a bit bogged down sometimes - wish I had reinstalled at the time but now I'm going to wait till I get Win7 before bothering with all that stress lol

Unless anyone knows of a reliable program to strip out old and unwanted driver files?
