Asus P4C800 audio problems.....software or hardware?

Not to sure where this should go.

Basically filsm and dvds play ok as do mp3's and standard audio cds. But on video clips from places like You tube there is no sound?

I reckon its audio codec issue but am unsure what one i need?

ANyone have an idea if this is likely to be a audio hard ware or software issue?

Most likely missing some codecs. Sometimes it can be hard to work out which codec you need unless the download site mentions it. Easiest way is to use a bulk codec pack, although they can be a bit of a waste of memory. One of the largest codec packs uses 50meg of ram even when your not listening to stuff.
