BIOS version: 1233

Every now and then my MoBo CPU temp jumps from its idle 36~40c to 80c. I have used two seperate programs to check the temp. However if i reboot, and check the temp in the BIOS it is at the 36~40c mark. There is no way in the space of 10~20 seconds that 40c of heat could dissipate

I have no overclocking in place, and am using a decent cooler.

Anyone have any ideas, this has only started to happen recently.

Ok, sorry if this is annoying, but it has happened again to me, ****** thing is starting to get annoying. CPU load was high this time though, but never any other times. Anyone got any ideas? Am i posting in the wrong forum
