Anyone know of how to get a ASUS P5B Deluxe booted to a dos prompt with CD support?

I want to image up my newly installed c: partition, but all of my boot CD's will not work with the oak DOS MSCDEX driver I have. I think it is due to the JMICRON IDE/RAID controller that is used for the IDE channel.

Its a right pain, why Asus decided to inlcuded two RAID controlers on a single board is odd, considering the Intel RAID has more levels of RAID and I would guess quicker...

Also, I'm not happy ASUS or JMICRON use SCSI for the CD Writer, when in fact it is a IDE drive on a IDE channel, I've had to force Windows IDE drivers to get this working right, as the DMA was all screwed up.

Get the boot CD completed, and get my Image, I'll be happy. Not the best board to set up, but still a good bit of kit.

Anyone got any ideas, got the same board and made a boot CD with CD rom support?

Tried booting from memory stick, didn't like it. I'm using a 144 boot disk image, burring to CD as floppy emulation in Nero.

Well,

Searched, still not got an answer to this one, so might have to use something like acronis or a windows based image solution, as I just cannot get a boot CD to work with CD drivers. Ghost works better in either multicast from another machine, or DOS boot disc, or CD.

Unless a USB floppy works...?? Worth a try I guess..

You'll be needing DOS drivers for the JMicron controller.
Look in the manual for instructions.
Failing that, the Hiren boot CD will work as it has DOS drivers for the JMicron.
