ASUS P5B-E any good ?

Hi Guys

A mate just gave me an ASUS P5B-E motherboard http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?modelmenu=1&model=1347&l1=3&l2=11&l3=307

Is it any good ? From the spec it looks pretty good to me.

I just bought a Gigabyte DS3 that being delivered tomorrow with the rest of my bits and bobs.

Go with the Asus board! Bloody brilliant one!, the two boards are similar but the Asus one appears to have more features. The only asus board I ever had was very good!
.....until it stopped working for no reason..... hmmm

Go with the Asus im getting one soon, and if you read the review at neoseeker you can see it is better than the DS3.

OK Built with the ASUS board.

Unfortunately, I have had to sacrifice the front audio connectors as the ASUS board does not have a socket for it.

However, the DS3 didn't have a firewire socket so I have gained as well!

The asus does have front audio although i heard it was in an awkward position.

Your right, its in the far corner from the panel, installing software atm, will see if the cable is long enough after that!

thats alright. What case do you have, im getting a thermaltake armor jr (when it eventually arrives), hopefully it will reach.

It just reaches by going around the gfx card, I will stick a picture up later if I can find my camera

Cool cheers, i was thinking of getting that case (i may have to if ocuk dont get my armor to me) but was worried about the amount of dust that could come through.
