P5E3 Premium (Winbond W83627DHG)
BIOS ver 0402
Q9450 + ThermalRight Extreme
OCZ DDR3 2000 MHZ (OCZ3P20004GK) @ 9-9-9-24
Manfs. RAM timings say 9-9-9-30 but went to 24 with no problems.
Stable at 445 x 7.5 (3337). None of the MB settings made much progress for the OC, except VCORE to 1.45 (droops to 1.38 on load). Temps (with coretemp) 65C on full Prime95 load, 45C idle. Didn't want to push it any higher for fear of frying it either by too many volts or overheating it on test.
Generally happy with the OC on air. Can't complain
There's something wierd going on with DRAM Frequency. I can change the DRAM frequency in the BIOS and it gives me a list of multiples of the bus speed, in this case the highest is (445 x 4) DDR3 1780 GHZ. This is the number shown on BIOS screen during boot. However, when in Windows, CPU-Z always reports 1:2 890 MHZ for the DRAM speed, no matter what I set in the bios. Even if I set DRAM to Auto, it still goes 1:2.
So the RAM is specced at 2000 MHZ but only running 890. Will this make a marked performance loss at 1:2 or not? Any ideas why it wont' go higher even when set in the BIOS?
