I have never OC a machine before so am looking forward to some rewarding times along with probably frustarting ones as well.
Ok rigg as follows

Asus P5K Premium Balck Pearl, just flashed to Bios 0404
E6600 C2D with a Tuniq Tower 120 CPU Cooler
4 x 1gb of OCZ PC2-9200C5 1150MHz Reaper HPC Edition Dual Channel DDR2
Vista 64 Bit Home Premium
8800GTX

.
1. I have no option for disabling Intel Speed Step , either i cant find it or it dissapeard under the bios update ?

2.FSB / Dram ratio
I want a CPU /DRAM 1:1 ratio where mine shows this :

Ok i did say i was an OC noob and im sure i have set something wrong in the bios , your help is appreciated thx

DRAM Frequency is the memory divider. Set it to the lowest option for 1:1. Tho you may not get a 1:1 option til your FSB is over 300/1200mhz.

C1E Support, and Intel(R) Speedstep(TM) Tech are the Speedstep options.

I have a P5K board - all I had to do was increase CPU voltage, set RAM voltage and start increasing the FSB. The

Speedstep doesn't appear to be an issue (seems to be disabled by default) and the RAM divider defaults to 1:1 too on this overclock.

Nope i still cant get the 1:1 divider to show . Is this as i have 4gb of ram insatlled .

What excatly is it i have to st in the bios to get the 1:1 divider to how ?

What is your FSB at?

As has already been said, you probably won't get 1:1 til over 300/1200mhz, maybe even 334/1336mhz.

Most of the P35 based boards won't run memory slower than PC-5300 speeds, and you need a 333mhz FSB to get 1:1 with that.
