Asus P5K deluxe wifi ddr2 temperatures

Hi,

My mobo temperatures are in the ~50C area.. seems a bit high?

My setup:

Intel Quad core Q6600
Asus P5K deluxe DDR2
Crucial PC2-5300 2GB RAM (not overclocked yet)
BFG GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB

Is this expected with the current setup?

I've not put on the small (optional) fan on the mobo that comes with the package - it's passively cooled.

what are you using to get the temps?

Speedfan and Asus PC Probe II - they're both giving me the same numbers

get core temp or intels TAT tool and see what the temps are on that.

core temps reported by speed fan are in the 40 - 50C range at the moment. Just measured room temperature, about 27C

sounds about right for stock cooling
