Asus p5k-e mobo hdd and ram?

is a set of dual module rams meant to go in a1 and b1 slots?
The manual isnt very clear.

Also if I wnat to create a raid do I stick one hdd in the red sata and 1 hdd in the black sata connections?

How many physical disks will there be? Two?

I have 2x200GB Samsung drives I want to put in raid 0.
I then have a 400 and a 500GB I want as normal drives for storage.

Red (Master) 1 & 2

I'm not 100% sure on this, maybe someone else can confirm.

Trill,

I dont think red and black has got anthing to do with master and slave.

Red ones are the Intel Matrix Controller, And black ones are for for the J-Micron controller.

AcidHell,

have you set the bios option "Configure SATA as" to "RAID" instead of "IDE", when you boot after making this change, i think it'll prompt you if you want to configure RAID.

Not yet, haven't got a cpu cooler. however if the black ones are the J-Micron controller i need to plug both into there. As I'm pretty sure the Intel controller doesn't offer raid capabilities.

It's listed on the ASUS site as having ICH9R, so the Intel ports should offer RAID.
