Asus P5KC DDR3 recomendations and help

Hi,

Ive got an Asus P5KC motherboard with 2 x 1GB Corsair DDR2 PC6400 memory.

Id like to upgrade to DDR3, which this board supports. (2 x 2GB ideally)

For anyone with experience of this board, which DDR3 memory and bios edition did you successfully use?

Which DDR3 memory would you recommend?

Am I also correct in thinking that I could use the same DDR3 memory with an i5 or i7 compatiable board, should I upgrade to that in the future?

I had that board before, I used DDR3 1066Mhz and last BIOS. it works perfectly.
