I have just cleaned down and rebuilt my ASUS P5ND2 and it is giving me an odd problem at boot.

The machine brings up the BIOS start screen "Press DEL to enter BIOS" but then locks up.

I have tried 2 PS/2 keyboards and a USB one and there is no difference.

On 2 occasions the machine has been booted up and failed to display anything, just giving long bleeps at about 2 second intervals.

I only have 1 video card installed.

Fixed it.

2 Problems;

There was a slightly mis-seated RAM stick that was causing the intermittent beeping

The BOOT issue was caused by me swapping the 2 7800GTX cards about. The motherboard is sensitive to the position of the 2 graphics cards in SLi mode. ie. If you put card 1 in slot 1 and card in slot 2 then it requires a BIOS reset before it will boot with card 2 in slot 2 and card 1 in slot 2. I did the cards were identical, but the SLi must have some mechanism for knowing them apart, which makes sense if you think about it.
