Asus P5Q O'Cing problem

Asus P5W Delux O'Cing problem

I am running a P5W Delux with an E6600 using a Scythe Ninja cooler and Corsair Dominator 4 gig DDR2.

However, when i go into the bios i cannot seem to find the option to unlock the FSB or multiplier for the cpu. Also, its not obvious at all how to tinker with the memory.

Now i bought the motherboard about a year ago and was told it was a good clocker. What am i doing wrong?

Or should i start again with a new mobo and E8400 for gaming? or Q6600?

i have that board and Iam Utter Noob to overclocking i have a E8500 and want to over clock it to 4 ghz i tried messing a about with it, and managed to stick 444 in the cpu thing which ran my chip at 4.2 ghz but i had problems with internet stuff msm mesenger would not stay open nor did firefox, they would close and error until i reset my chip to satndard, i have the flex 1150 pc8500 2x2 gb kit
can anyone give me some help in fine tunning my board.. thanks

Will check the letter is definitely a P5 something Deluxe. Bought it same time as E6600 which was recently out.

Probably a P5B or P5K.

e6600 came out over a year ago, it's most likely a p5b or k like cob said.

hmm well on my p5k-e its under the advanced tab in the jumperfree config I think. Not sure if your bios operates in the same way.
