When my pc boots up on one of the text bit's it says initializing the marveli (think thats it's name) controller and that no hardisk has been detected.
I'm using the intel controller for my drives is there a way to disable this second controller so i get a quicker boot, and don't have to read that annoying message!

Second question is around the drive xpert software, i installed this off the motherboard cd, and now wish i hadn't, it's a program that allows you to setup two hardrives on the non intel disk controller, since i'm not using this controller this is a pointless program to have sitting on my sidebar but there is no uninstall option and the icon is really starting to bug me for some unknown reason, how to get i get rid of this stuff?

Sorry if these are basic questions but i only just built this pc (first one) so i guess i'm a definate novice at these things, and really want to keep my taskbar unclutted so i only got the things i use on there

Yip you can disable the Marvel controller if you aren't using any IDE devices. Can't remember the exact option, but it's certainly there.

Can you uninstall Driver Expert through Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel?
